NGZ high efficiency thickener
Our company has developed a new type of thickener utilizing imported technology, featuring a central drive system and an automatic rake mechanism. This advanced thickener is widely used in various applications, including tailings treatment, hydrometallurgy, environmental engineering, mining, and more.
The high-efficiency charging system is equipped with capabilities for thorough slurry degassing, precise control over material feed rates, and accurate dosing of flocculant. It features a multi-point additive feeding system to ensure optimal mixing of additives with the slurry, enhancing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the flocculation process.
The scraper blades are designed with a logarithmic spiral distribution, enabling high-efficiency scraping with minimal resistance, which allows the rotary harrow to operate smoothly and efficiently.
The system is controlled by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and includes several advanced features:
Overload Alarm: An indicator alerts operators to potential overload conditions.
Automatic Rake Adjustment: The system automatically lifts and lowers the rake as needed.
Overload Protection: Both the motor and hydraulic circuit are equipped with pressure relief mechanisms to ensure that the torque does not exceed the rated value, safeguarding the equipment.
Operational Modes: The system supports automatic, manual, and remote control modes. In the event of prolonged lockdowns or malfunctions, the system can be operated either manually or automatically.
The control system is designed with multiple layers of protection:
Oil Temperature Regulation: The system monitors oil temperature and activates the radiator fan when temperatures are high or the heating device when temperatures are low, maintaining optimal operating conditions.
Pressure Self-Test: If the hydraulic station’s pressure transformer encounters issues or fails, the machine will automatically shut down and trigger an alarm, preventing further damage.
Remote Emergency Stop: Operators can immediately stop the machine remotely in case of an emergency, enhancing safety.
Password Protection: A password protection system prevents unauthorized changes to the settings, ensuring that only qualified personnel can modify the system parameters.

1)The circular pool body, featuring either a variable slope bottom or a deep cone bottom, is designed to achieve deep compression. The variable slope bottom accelerates the scraping speed, enabling efficient concentration of the bottom flow toward the center. This design enhances concentration efficiency, making it 3-8 times more effective than conventional thickeners. The underflow concentration can reach 60-70%.

The drive mechanism utilizes a multi-hydraulic motor system to synchronously drive the central rotary support and the outer gear ring, which in turn rotates the main shaft and the rake structure. This system is adjustable to meet various operational conditions. When the concentration of materials in the pool increases, the working resistance of the scraper also rises, leading to an increase in the hydraulic system’s internal pressure. If the pressure exceeds the preset value, the pressure sensor activates and opens the control valve of the lifting system. Hydraulic oil then flows into the rake cylinder, lifting the scraper. If the resistance continues to increase, the scraper will keep lifting. Should the drive pressure surpass the set limit, the thickener will automatically stop and trigger an alarm, protecting the main drive system components. The entire rake lifting process is managed by a separate hydraulic cylinder, with all signals derived from the hydraulic system, ensuring reliability and stability unaffected by power grid voltage fluctuations. The maximum lifting height is 600mm.
